Sunset Series

The Sunset Series is a monthly experience held on the first Monday of every month — a space to soften, reset, and come back to yourself by the water.

Each evening begins with gentle Yin and breath, allowing the body to unwind and the nervous system to settle, before seamlessly rolling into a deeply immersive sound offering.

This is a practice designed for everyone — accessible, welcoming, and intentionally priced so our whole community can be part of it.

Held at the Port Melbourne Yacht Club, there is truly no better setting in Melbourne… the sun setting over the bay, waves rolling in, and the feeling of being held by the ocean as you drop into stillness.

Margot Petrie

Monday July 6th

7:00 - 8:30pm

Margot Petrie is a French-born, Melbourne-based vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and performer whose work spans live music, electronic sound and avant-improvisation. Alongside her solo project—where shadowy downtempo electronics meet alternative pop and trip-hop influences—she explores long-form ambient performance through voice, synths, harp and live processing.

Her work drifts between the earthly and the otherworldly, drawing on layered improvisation, vocal looping and electronic textures to weave hypnotic dreamscapes of voice, synth drones and ethereal tones. Dark, immersive and slowly evolving, her practice blurs the line between song, atmosphere and sound art.

Prepare to settle in, soften, and drift through an immersive soundscape of voice, synth drones, looping textures, and ethereal tones.

What to Expect

Each Sunset Series is designed as a gentle unwinding of the day.

We begin with slow, floor-based Yin shapes, supported by breath and simple guidance to help you soften out of the mind and into the body. There’s no rush, no pressure — just space to arrive exactly as you are.

As the evening unfolds, the practice transitions into sound. You’ll rest in stillness as crystal bowls, voice, and other soothing instruments wash through the space, creating a deeply calming and immersive experience that supports rest, release, and nervous system reset.

Sound can sometimes bring forward different sensations, emotions, memories, or feelings as the body softens and shifts. Everyone experiences sound differently, and whatever arises is welcome. You are held, supported, and free to simply rest, breathe, and take the experience at your own pace — we’ve got you.

The combination of Yin, breath, sound, and the natural rhythm of the ocean creates a state of ease that stays with you long after you leave.

No experience is needed. Just bring yourself.
